What's in a Home Information Pack? The Home Information Pack contains important information that buyers and sellers need to know. The Home Information Packs have been implemented on a phased basis, which started on 1 August 2007. Packs are now required by law by every person selling their home from the 14th of December 2007. HIPS UPDATE As from the 1st of October the new HIPS regulation comes into force. This covers properties for sale and rent Properties For Rent: An EPC certificate will now be needed for each new tenant. Properties For Sale: Properties that are now on the market that did not need a HIPS because they came to market before December, will now need an EPC certificate after a sale has been agreed. - Energy Performance Certificate
- Sale Statement
- Standard Searches
- Evidence of title
- Additional information for leasehold and commonhold sales, where appropriate
